About Radio Madhuban

Radio Madhuban 90.4 FM is a Community Radio Station licensed under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India operational in Abu Road, Rajasthan, India since 2011. Radio Madhuban works for the development and upliftment of local community by informing, educating, enlightening and awakening the masses. India’s first value-based community radio station, the station promotes living values and moral development in all spheres of life. With special focus on areas like education, sustainable development, women and youth empowerment, health & hygiene and organic farming, Radio Madhuban provides value-based education and infotainment 24x7. With a variety of on-air shows and thematic village-outreach programs, Radio Madhuban has been successful in building strong bonds with the local community.

Our Community

The administrative division of Abu Road comprises of 82 villages scattered in a vast area. The population largely consists of tribal families. Marked by extreme poverty, illiteracy and unemployment, a majority of the workers are agricultural laborers, farmers or engaged in marginal activities that provide livelihood for less than 6 months. Radio Madhuban has a listenership of over 1 Lakh people.

2nd Mt. Abu International Trail Half Marathon

The 2nd Mt. Abu International Trail Half Marathon was organised by the Senior Citizen’s Club, Mt. Abu and the Brahma Kumaris on 17 Feb 2013. Radio Madhuban covered the entire event live for the benefit of its listeners.

The Trail Half Marathon-21.097Km, for age groups 18-45 and veteran runners was flagged off by Shri Babu Bhai Kashyap, President of Senior Citizen’s Club of Mt. Abu at 7:30 am and saw overwhelming participation. An hour later, the Dream Run-3Km, started for all enthusiastic runners.


At the same time Senior Citizens’ Run for runners over 60 years of age was flagged off. Very excited by the choice of track, Mr. Jitendar Kumar Soni, SDM, Mt. Abu commented that such runs create awareness and willingness among people to save the environment and preserve the beauty of Mt. Abu. He was happy to see that so many people had gathered to enjoy the race and boost the morale of the participants. The event energised the people and stirred their enthusiasm for sports.
