Merciful:
Mercy means Kindness, Forgiveness. It’s a broad area which refers to a variety contexts like ethical, religious, social, legal. The one who is full of mercy, is merciful. Need to keep below lines in mind when practicing being Merciful.
People are often unreasonable, self-centered: Forgive them anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you, but be honest anyway.
What you spend years to build, someone could destroy overnight. Build anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow. Do good anyway.
You see, in the final analysis it is between you and God; it never was between you and them anyway.
Week 1 : Being Merciful on yourself
Remembering your mistakes and failures repeatedly will not help you change what happened in the past. To stimulate growth and positive change, you have to forgive and have mercy on yourself first. This will help you in learning from your mistakes and failures. Find the lesson from mistakes done, then put a full stop to the past and move on.
Week 2 : To be merciful means to transform the pain and sorrow of others
The one who is merciful always has the feeling of mercy and is able to help those who are in need or in distress. Such a person can bring transformation in others too because of his own pure feelings. He is able to put in effort that becomes a contribution for the progress of others.
Week 3 : To be Merciful means being Positive and having Acceptance
When we have mercy for others, we are able to accept their feelings, emotions and behavior and provide them with the right kind of mental support. Then we are able to give them courage without being influenced negatively with their feelings of pain and sorrow. So our mercy influences ourselves positively too as we are able to keep ourselves positive under all circumstances.
Week 4 : To be Merciful means to bring about a Change
The method to bring about change is to be Merciful. Merciful means to have good wishes, cooperation, love, respect and faith. This becomes like a blessing for the one who needs to bring change. Words spoken will then be powerful and easy. This will naturally bring faith in the other person in order to bring about natural transformation. When we give only correction we forget to forgive. But when we first forgive or have mercy then we are able to remain cool and easy.
